When I opened the door to let her out she came to a screeching halt at the edge of the door. She slowly lowered her nose to the ground and then licked the snow. Her head flew up and she placed one foot carefully out of the door and into the snow, then the other. Lowering her head again to the snow she licked the ground and took off like a flash!
Watching her dart all over the yard, jump, prance, pounce, play and roll was like watching a kid on Christmas morning. She was unsure of it and yet loved it all at the same time.
Now that it has been on the ground for just over a week, the newness has not totally worn off yet. She gets so excited just from seeing the snow. She rolls in it, licks it, digs her nose through it and moans and groans while doing so. Out of all of the dogs I have had and witnessing their reactions I have never seen a dog get so excited over it and STAY so excited over it.
That just goes to show yet another reason why these stories are called "Stella Quirks" because she is in fact, a quirky Collie puppy!
