With the recent loss of Case, our Great Pyrenees and Stella’s big brother, Stella has been a little off with the rest of us in mourning. As we all try to find a new normal in life Stella is starting to get her quirks back. In the latest Stella Quirk you will see exactly how special and unique to her quirks are.
5:27 A.M. my alarm goes off. My husband usually gets up at this point and goes into get ready at which point Stella wastes no time moving from the foot of the bed to his spot, laying her long nosed head right on his pillow to snuggle with me. Well, this morning he was moving a little slow and didn’t want to get up right away. Stella got impatient and plopped herself down in between us and started rolling around and kicking and thrashing grumbling as if to say, IT IS TIME TO GET UP DAD!
Finally, he got up and went about his routine of getting ready and she very happily took her rightful place, HER head on HIS pillow next to mom for her morning snuggle.
Her time was cut short this morning due to the longer time dad spent in bed so Stella was not a happy camper. She loves her schedule and I do mean LOVES it. If you throw a monkey wrench in it or even just a small kink, she will let you know she is not happy with you.
As he is getting ready he always loves on Stella and showers her with attention with her giving kisses, bumping her nose into your lips, the entire time. Today, she would not. In fact, she would not even look at him when he would ask her for a kiss. All morning she was punishing him for taking up her time of snuggling in bed with mom and when he went to head out the door it was no different. Usually Stella will be all over him and giving him kisses even if he doesn’t want them but today, she didn’t even look at him when asked for one. Her tail wagging she was playing hard to get. Pointing her nose toward the ground away from him she only glanced with her eyes. With one swoop of his hand he brought her nose to his lips and gave her a big ole MUWAH! With that she got all excited and ran back to me barking at him as if she was telling him how dare he steal a kiss from her. She sat at my feet as he teased that he stole a kiss and she gave one last bark as he said goodbye and closed the door behind him.
And that is Stella’s quirk of the day.
