We stopped at the surf shop to pick up some last minute beach items and headed over to the beach, boogie boards, sunscreen and swim wear in hand. The boys took to the waves with their boogie boards right away and the girls enjoyed the warmth of the sun some before going to the water.
standing in the ocean about mid thigh deep in the water I felt something hit my foot. As i came out of the ocean a jelly fish washed up next to me. OUCH! Turns out the guys were getting stung out there by them AND there was some sort of algae according to locals that leave bite mark looking welts on you that they were getting touched by.
Not wanting to feel that again I opted for a walk on the beach along with another one of the wives. We took pictures and enjoyed the sea air and warmth of the Florida climate compared to Minnesota's.
We headed back and then a bunch of us went in to a restaurant on the beach near where we were and ordered dinner. The server was anything but polite, busy or not there was not really an excuse for his attitude towards us but all ended well and the food was delicious. Then decided to take another stroll with my husband, her and her husband as well as another coworker.
We were absolutely enthralled with the amount of Jelly Fish that were washing up and we counted how many were on the beach reaching a count of 135 at the end of a walk.
We headed back to the Resort and went straight to the hot tub again. Only this time the bubbles were not working and it was a little chillier than the night before. We stuck it out anyways and then went to our separate buildings and off to bed we headed.
